Kew Pha Wok というタイとミャンマーの國境がある。チェンマイから真北に120kmである。ミャンマーのタウンジ方面、インレーレイクに近い。ここを抜けられるといいのだが。まだだめなようである。

New Border Trade Point opens in Chiang Dao
Governor Pawin Chaminprasat presides over the grand opening of the new border trade point at Kew Pha Wok in Chiang Dao district of Chiang Mai.
The market area was thronged with Thai and Myanmar based traders, ready for the new border trade point.

Governor Pawin Chamniprasat opened the new temporary border trade point at Kew Pha Wok in Chiang Dao on March 10, 2016. The new border crossing will allow for improved trade between the two regions after being closed for more than ten years.The Governor visited shops and businesses in the area and gave blankets to representatives from Myanmar. He also met with representatives from Na Muang District to work with local villagers on the smog and smoke problems.
The new border trade point is expected to generate good revenues for people on both sides of the border, about 1,000 people are expected to benefit, with trade in agricultural and consumer products expected to generate around 100 million baht in revenues.
The new border crossing is 150 kilometers from Taunggyi, the capital of Shan State, and a gateway to Mandalay and 115 kilometers from Chiang Mai.
